Accommodation and Transport

Accommodation

You can book your accommodation along with your horse-holiday program. I have found some lovely places, all very different in style.

The true horse-fan can stay at a spacious appartment just outside the fields and stable. You stay amongst the olive-trees, with the friendly grandma Niki who rented out the fields to me. Ideal if you want to spend plenty of time with the horses.

Do you prefer to stay in a small village? I can recommend Doukades. Three taverna’s and a kafeneion with mini-market lie waiting for you around the authentic village-square. Situated on a slope in Doukades there is the accommodation: a beautiful renovated previous mule-stable with a nice garden up front. Doukades lies about 2 km from my stables.

On walking distance from the village of Skripero and – for the true hiker – also from my stables, lies the small cottage of Katerina. You will stay on the grounds of the owners house, in the quiet of the countryside, unless chickens and dogs will make themselves known.

Are you attracted to the sea and beaches, the British Caroline can help you out. Her small villa with a wonderful view on the sea lies in the little seaside town of Paleokastritsa, about 6 km from my stables.
For the ones who love the open air: Paleokastritsa has also a campingsite.

Transport

Of course the main means of transport during your holiday will be your horse.

But apart from that you might want to rent a car or motor-bike. If you like I can arrange that for you.
The car will wait for you at the airport and the motor-bike will be at your accomodation. If preferred I then can collect you from the airport.
